The Hurricanes bring a rebuilt rotation into 2025-26, with seniors Tre Donaldson, Malik Reneau and Ernest Udeh Jr. representing the program at ACC Tipoff and the opener set for Nov. 3 vs. Jacksonville at Watsco Center. New head coach Jai Lucas said in his opening press conference that Miami would need new players, and that's exactly what he got. Here's the 2025-26 Miami Hurricanes basketball team.

Tre Donaldson — Guard

A transfer from Michigan, Donaldson started all 37 games last season and averaged 11.3 points, 4.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds, leading the Wolverines in assists and ranking second in three-point percentage (37.5%). He previously played two seasons at Auburn, winning the 2024 SEC Tournament title and reaching back-to-back NCAA Tournaments.

Malik Reneau — Forward

The Miami native returns home after leading Indiana in scoring at 13.3 points per game in 2024-25, adding 5.5 rebounds across 26 games (19 starts). Reneau chose the Hurricanes over multiple suitors as one of the top frontcourt transfers in the portal.

Ernest Udeh Jr. — Center

Udeh arrives after two seasons at TCU, where he started all 59 games he played and averaged 5.5 points and 6.4 rebounds, earning All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2024-25. The 6-11 rim protector ranked seventh in the Big 12 in rebounding (7.5) and 11th in blocks (1.3) last year.

Marcus Allen — Guard/Forward

A former Miami Norland star and ESPN 100 recruit, Allen transferred home after his freshman year at Missouri. He averaged 2.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in 26 games for the Tigers while adjusting to the speed and physicality of college basketball.

Tru Washington — Guard

Washington transfers in from New Mexico, where the 6-4 guard posted 11.1 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in 2024–25 on an NCAA Tournament team. As a strong downhill guard with physical defense, he adds a two-way punch to Miami's perimeter.

Jordyn Kee — Guard

Kee redshirted at Georgia last season and did not appear in a game. The 6-3 guard from Broward County (Sagemont Prep) adds length and backcourt depth as he begins his playing career.

Shelton Henderson — Forward

A five-star prospect in the industry consensus, Henderson starred at Bellaire High School (Texas), averaging 22.3 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists as a senior. At 6-6, 240, he brings a powerful frame and can fill multiple frontcourt spots. He headlines Miami's incoming freshman class for Lucas.

Treyvon Maddox — Forward

Maddox is a 6-6 freshman forward from Orlando's Oak Ridge High School. His length and athleticism give Miami another developmental piece on the wing. Expect him to compete for minutes as the season progresses.

Salih Altuntas — Forward

Altuntas arrives from Istanbul after averaging 10.1 points and 9.2 rebounds in Turkey with Anka Spor. At 6-10, 274, he adds size, rebounding and physicality to the frontcourt. His international experience should ease the transition to the college game.

Noam Dovrat — Guard

The Israeli guard spent last season in the Winner League with Maccabi Urban Ramat Gan and Hapoel Jerusalem, averaging 5.0 points, 2.5 assists and 1.9 rebounds. He helped Hapoel Jerusalem win the Israeli Cup in 2023 and 2024 and the 2024 League Cup.

Dante Allen — Guard

Allen is a 6-4 freshman from national power Montverde Academy who averaged 11.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists as a senior on a 30-3 team. A consensus top-75 recruit, he strengthens Miami's guard rotation with scoring versatility. Some early minutes are on the table for him.

Timotej Malovec — Forward

Malovec signs with Miami after playing professionally for Mega Basket (ABA League), gaining minutes in one of Europe's top development pipelines. The 6-8 Slovakian forward profiles as a multi-tool defender and good passer.

John Laboy II — Guard

Laboy, a 6-3 point guard from Houston's St. Francis Episcopal, was a three-star signee who previously committed to Columbia. He helped lead St. Francis Episcopal to a TAPPS 4A state title and averaged 14.2 points, 4.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 steals as a senior.
