Elite Nashville (Tenn.) WR prospect Kesean Bowman has cut his list to five schools: Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Bowman is listed at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, and the Rivals' industry ranking slots him as a top-40 overall recruit in the class. On3/Rivals ranks him as the No. 37 player nationally and the No. 7 wide receiver in the 2027 class.

The Hurricanes already have four commits in their 2027 class, including one wide receiver pledge in Ah'Mari Stevens. Adding a player like Bowman would be the kind of move that changes the look of a class.

Bowman committed to Oregon last summer and later reopened things.

Bowman pushed back his original commitment timeline because more schools started turning up the heat late, and he wanted more time to sort through it. He is lining up a run of spring visits, including Vanderbilt on March 21, Tennessee on March 28, Alabama on March 30, Miami on April 4 and Ohio State on April 13.

Ohio State is a factor here. The Buckeyes have a reputation for developing NFL receivers, and they're now led by Cortez Hankton, who was hired as Ohio State's wide receivers coach in January.

There aren't many teams in the country that can match the recent WR history from Ohio State, if any. But, Miami will have the two most recent classes to hang their hat on. Xavier Restrepo and Elijah Arroyo are both in the NFL, and Malachi Toney will be joining them in two years. From this past season, CJ Daniels is a name to watch from the Canes during the 2026 NFL draft.

It also doesn't hurt that Miami will have reliable QB play for the third straight season. That should be attractive to any WR recruit.
