Miami ACC Tournament versus California: Game times, pitchers and TV

Miami will open ACC Tournament play versus California on Tuesday morning.

California and Miami will play the first game in the 2025 ACC Tournament on Tuesday morning. The Golden Bears and Hurricanes did not play during the regular season. Miami had an inconsistent season in the ACC after starting 2-7. The Hurricanes were 13-2 in their next 15 ACC games before finishing 1-5.

Miami had a 10-game ACC winning streak before getting swept at Virginia in the penultimate weekend and losing two out of three games at home in the final series of 2025 that concluded on Saturday. California finished last in the ACC with a 9-21 record and is 21-30 overall.

California is making their third trip to the East Coast this season after playing at Duke and Georgia Tech. Miami last played at Durham Athletic Park, where the 2025 ACC Tournament is being held, in a three-game series at Duke during the 2024 season.

California will play its first neutral site game in 2025 in the ACC Tournament versus Miami. Miami has a 7-3 win over Florida International at LoanDepot Park and a 3-2 victory over Boston College at Fenway Park in their two neutral site wins in 2025.

California versus Miami in the 2025 ACC Tournament will have first pitch at 9 AM Eastern Daylight Time on the ACC Network. The Golden Bears will be playing the game at 6 AM Pacific Time.

California versus Miami starting pitchers

Miami seems likely to start Griffin Hugus on five days rest versus California on Tuesday. That is one day less than Hugus normally receives. Right-handed pitcher Oliver de la Torre is the probable starting pitcher for California on Tuesday.

Looking ahead

If Miami beats California on Tuesday, they advance to the second round of the 2025 ACC Baseball Tournament versus Wake Forest at 9 AM EDT on Wednesday on the ACC Network. Miami was swept in a three-game series at Wake Forest in March. The Demon Deacons finished a half game in front of Miami in the ACC standings.
