After winning a see-saw battle over the Old Miss Rebels, the Miami Hurricanes punched their ticket to the CFP National Championship game on Monday, January 19th by becoming victorious, in a 31 to 27 win.

Miami will play national championship game in its own stadium
Coach Mario Cristobal, along with the hard-working coaching staff, must somehow convince the overachieving 2025 Miami Hurricanes how their journey has now become part of a legacy that most college football programs only "dream of."
It is extremely true that the current Miami Hurricanes players are truly "Cinderella." Who would have thought back in Spring camp that this version of the Hurricanes would win games in the CFP, after barely qualifying for the college football tournament? The lesson that I have learned from viewing Cristobal's Canes is "anything is possible."
Back in the mid to latter part of the 2025 college football season, no one could have accurately predicted the Canes' CFP surge. Losses to ACC rivals, Louisville and subsequently SMU sealed the Hurricanes chances of playing for an ACC title.
It is simply amazing, as well as a "miracle" how the College Football Playoff committee allowed the tenth ranked Miami Hurricanes to become one of the tournament's participants, despite falling short in the conference.
Thankfully, the Miami Hurricanes have been blessed with playing with consistency, while being able to have cohesiveness in all phases of the game. Coach Cristobal's fingerprints are etched all over this five-time national title winning program.
Success in college football can become fleeting, especially, when one factors in how difficult discussions must be held, in order for most programs to transition from average, good, to exceptional.
Playing for its six title is on the line for the underdog Canes and given the "good karma" the program has enjoyed over the past several weeks, betting against them at this point, could provide the fuel and mentality that sparked the program's deep playoff success and remarkable accomplishment.
