The Friday Student-Athlete Availability Reporting update for the Virginia Tech game on Saturday shows Miami the healthiest it has been in a few weeks. Defensive back Keionte Scott and wide receiver Tony Johnson are the only key players for Miami listed as out on the Friday update.
Defensive tackle David Blay Jr. is questionable and cornerback O.J. Frederique and wide receiver Joshua Moore are probable for Miami against Virginia Tech. Blay has played through an injury for a few weeks. Frederique has not played since the Stanford game because of an injury.
Scott is out for the season with a foot injury. Virginia Tech will be the third consecutive game missed by Johnson. Running back Mark Fletcher Jr. and wide receiver C.J. Daniels are not on the injured list for the first time in weeks. Wide receiver Keelan Marion has thrived with Daniels and Johnson out for the last few games.
Marion has equaled Daniels with 33 receptions and he is now second on Miami with 465 receiving yards with one touchdown. In the past three games, Marion has 15 receptions for 289 yards and the one TD. Other than Johnson, Miami should have its full roster of WRs at Virginia Tech on Saturday.

Key players out for Virginia Tech are safety Quentin Reddish, who has not played since starting the first three games in 2025 and starting offensive lineman Montavious Cunningham. Virginia Tech running back Jermiah Coney, linebacker Gabe Williams, safety Isaiah Cash and OL Jaden Muskrat, minimal contributors in 2025, are questionable.
Virginia Tech has 14 players as out on the Student-Athlete Availability Reporting update. Players not mentioned here are not on the seasonal participation report for Virginia Tech or have played minimally during the 2025 season. Miami appears to be healthier and has far more depth than Virginia Tech entering Saturday.
