Miami keeps loading up in the trenches for 2026, landing another proven Power Four starter as it reshapes the roster through the transfer portal. Nebraska defensive line transfer Keona Davis has committed to Miami.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound sophomore gives the Hurricanes a long, versatile lineman who already logged a starter’s workload in the Big Ten.

Nebraska DL Keona Davis has transferred to Miami
Davis started 12 of 13 games for Nebraska this past season and finished with 32 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. 26 of his 32 tackles came in Big Ten play.
Davis led all Husker defensive linemen in tackles in 2025, and had a seven-tackle, one-sack game at UCLA that also included his first career pass breakup. He logged 406 snaps across 13 games, with 10 quarterback pressures.
Davis played in 12 games as a true freshman in 2024, recording 10 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. Davis has plenty of years of eligibility left, giving the Hurricanes a player with starter experience and high potential. He should be able to slot in and start right away.
Davis is from Tucson, Arizona, and played at Salpointe Catholic, where he put up big production as a senior, including 60 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
