Miami received a commitment from Austin Peay pitcher Lyndon Glidewell on Thursday. Glidewell was 8-0 with a 3.36 earned run average in 14 appearances with 13 starts. Glidewell had a seven-inning no-hitter and earned a save in his one relief appearance.
In 77.2 innings, Glidewell allowed 61 hits and 34 walks, hit 14 batters and struck out 64. Glidewell earned second-team All-Atlantic Sun Conference. The no-hitter for Glidewell was at North Alabama and he allowed one hit with no walks.
Glidewell is the defacto replacement for Holy Cross transfer Danny Macchiarola, who signed with the Seattle Mariners after he was an eighth-round pick in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft earlier this month. Miami also lost FIU transfer pitcher Easton Marks, who signed with the Colorado Rockies.
Glidewell should compete to be in the Miami weekend rotation with rising sophomores A.J. Ciscar and Tate DeRias. Miami is set up to have an excellent rotation in 2026. Miami had a 5.15 team ERA and 1.38 cumulative WHIP during the 2025 season when they advanced to the NCAA Tournament Super Regional.

Glidewell is originally from Temecula, California and is an alum of Murrieta Valley High School. Before spending the 2025 season with Austin Peay, Glidewell pitched two seasons at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California, which is located in Orange County.
All 15 of Glidewell's appearances as a freshman in 2023 were in relief. Glidewell made six starts in seven appearances with Orange Coast during the 2024 season. Glidewell will have one season of eligibility remaining with Miami. Miami gains experience on their pitching staff with the addition of Glidewell.
Baseball America ranked Miami 16th nationally and fifth among ACC teams in the Way Too Early 2026 Top 25 Rankings. Miami has a good balance of hitting and pitching returning in 2026. The Miami offense will be anchored by All-American third baseman Daniel Cuvet.
