Jai Lucas and Miami's coaching staff added another blue-chip name to their 2028 basketball board this week. Mason Collins, a small forward out of The Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware, announced Miami's offer on Friday afternoon.

Collins checks in at 6-foot-6 and 195 pounds, and the 247Sports Composite currently rates him the No. 9 overall prospect in the 2028 class, the No. 5 small forward nationally and the top-ranked player in Delaware.
Rivals rates Collins as the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2028 class, the No. 5 small forward nationally, and the No. 1 player in the state of Delaware.
Miami offers 2028 forward Mason Collins
His father, Mardy Collins, starred at Temple before the Knicks took him in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft, and he now serves as head coach at Tatnall.
His mother, Ariana Moore, also played at Temple and currently works as South Carolina women's basketball's director of basketball operations, a connection that shows why On3's Prediction Machine currently has the Gamecocks as the favorite in his recruitment. His older brother, Madden Collins, led American University in scoring as a freshman this past season.
Collins helped Team USA capture the FIBA U17 World Cup title in Turkey, then kept rolling on the Nike EYBL circuit with Team CP3, averaging 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists in EYBL play before opening Peach Jam with 21 points, four rebounds and five assists in a win over Team Takeover. At Tatnall, he helped push the program to a 17-5 overall record and an 8-0 mark in league play.
Collins holds offers from Florida State, NC State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Syracuse, Georgetown and Villanova, and Duke, a program he's previously named as his dream school, has been in active contact with his family as well.
