Four-star defensive lineman Ezekiel Ayangbile is down to LSU, Miami and Virginia Tech. He will announce his commitment on May 8.
Ayangbile is a 6-foot-2, 265-pound defensive lineman from Langham Creek High School in Houston, and the 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 227 overall prospect, No. 23 defensive lineman and No. 36 player in Texas in the 2027 class. 247Sports' in-house rankings have him slightly higher nationally at No. 247 overall and No. 26 among defensive linemen.
The Hurricanes already have Key West defensive lineman Josh Johnson in the 2027 class. Miami currently has nine commitments and the No. 15 class nationally in the 247Sports team rankings.

Miami looks to close on four-star Texas DL Ezekiel Ayangbile this week
Ayangbile's father, Duane Brown, played at Virginia Tech from 2003-07 before becoming a first-round pick by the Houston Texans in 2008 and a five-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle in the NFL. His mother, Ciera Ayangbile, was also a Virginia Tech track and field standout.
As a junior in 2025, Ayangbile finished with 50 tackles, eight tackles for loss and three sacks. As a sophomore in 2024, he had 40 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks and one fumble recovery. He earned first-team all-district honors and participated in the Navy All-American Bowl.
The Hurricanes just had two defensive linemen selected in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, with Rueben Bain Jr. going No. 15 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Akheem Mesidor going No. 22 to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Those selections give HC Mario Cristobal and the coaching staff a pitch to use with players like Ayangbile coming out of high school.
Ayangbile took an unofficial visit to Miami on April 4 and has another scheduled for May 29. He also has a June 5 Virginia Tech visit set.
