Four-star linebacker Roman Igwebuike has trimmed his recruitment to 12 schools, and Miami made the cut.
Igwebuike's top 12 includes Miami, Tennessee, USC, Clemson, Indiana, Missouri, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Florida.
Of the teams in his top 12, Miami defeated Notre Dame, Florida, Ohio State and Ole Miss last season, but lost to Indiana in the CFP title game.

Four-star linebacker Roman Igwebuike puts Miami in top 12
Igwebuike is a top-100 type prospect in the 2027 class. On 247Sports' composite, he's listed as the No. 95 overall player and the No. 6 linebacker in the country. (247Sports' in-house rankings have him even a touch higher at No. 89 nationally.)
Igwebuike filled up the stat sheet during Mount Carmel's 2025 run, posting 115 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and three pass breakups. He was an all-conference pick while Mount Carmel went 14-0 and won the Class 8A state championship.
On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine has Ohio State as the early leader at 18%, with Miami close behind at 15.8%.
