Miami has received a lot of criticism for its schedule over the last week or so, but the Canes have achieved something through the first three games that only one other team has done.

Miami has two road P4 victories
The Hurricanes opened the year with a 45-6 win at Stanford on Sept. 4 and followed it with a 33-20 victory at Wake Forest on Sept. 18 (after a 77-7 home win over FAMU).
Mississippi State matched the road total with a 38-13 win at Minnesota on Sept. 12 and a 41-34 comeback at South Carolina on Sept. 19. Both the Hurricanes and the Bulldogs are 3-0 on the season. Mississippi State's other win was at home against Louisiana-Monroe, 62-13.
Miami's remaining schedule
The 2026 slate for Miami doesn't look challenging right now, but there are plenty of quality teams outside of Notre Dame. Virginia Tech under James Franklin, Pitt, reigning ACC champion Duke and Clemson (potentially) all offer quality win opportunities for the Hurricanes.

Mississippi State's remaining schedule
Mississippi State is about to go through one of the toughest stretches in all of college football. The Bulldogs just got into the top 25, and if they can somehow go 2-1 over their next three games, they will likely be ranked in mid-to-low teens.
