Winning at the line of scrimmage
Hetherman finished as the 17th best recruiter in the ACC and was the lead recruiter for Miami signing four-star edge rusher DeAnthony Lafayette and linebacker Karsten Busch and three-star LB Justin Edwards. Miami has had an exceptional turnaround defensively in 2025 in Hetherman's first season
Taylor finished 20th in the ACC and was the primary Miami recruiter for four-star edge rusher Asharri Charles and three-star defensive lineman Tyson Bacon. Taylor was the secondary recruiter for Miami signing Lafayette.
Woodiel finished 25th in the ACC and was the primary recruiter for Miami signing four-star TEs, Gavin Muller from South Elgin, Illinois and Israel Biggs from Clovis, California. Miami was one of two programs to sign top 20 TEs in the 2026 class. Georgia signed three of the top 10 2026 TEs.
Miami signed the 10th-ranked class nationally. The 2026 class is the third time in the last four recruiting cycles that Miami has finished in the top 10 classes in the 247Sports composite rankings. Miami should continue to dominate the ACC recruiting rankings under Mario Cristobal.
