The ACC announced Miami at SMU on November 1 as one of four games placed on a six-day hold. A six-day hold means the game time and televlision networks will not be determined until after the conclusion of the previous weeks games. Miami at SMU will be announced after the conclusion of games on Saturday.
Georgia Tech at North Carolina State, Virginia at California and Notre Dame at Boston College are the other three games on November 1 that have been placed on six-day holds. Outcomes of games this weekend will be a big determining factor in the kickoff times and networks on November 1.
Georgia Tech currently leads the ACC with a conference record of 4-0 and are 7-0 overall. SMU and Virginia are 3-0 in the conference. The Mustangs are 5-2 overall and the Cavaliers are 6-1. California is 5-2 overall an 2-1 in the ACC, NC State is 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the ACC.
If Miami beats Stanford on Saturday and SMU wins at Wake Forest, the Hurricanes and Mustangs should be one of the biggest 2025 ACC games. SMU head coach Rhett Lashlee was the offensive coordinator at Miami during the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
Miami's road game against SMU was placed on a six-day hold, meaning we won't know the kickoff time or network until after next week's games.

Miami is currently in eighth place in the ACC with a 1-1 conference record and is 5-1 overall. Duke and Pittsburgh are 3-1 in the ACC and Louisville is tied with California at 2-1. Pittsburgh and SMU are the only teams remaining on the Miami schedule currently ahead of the Hurricanes in the conference standings.
Boston College is currently 1-6 overall and 0-4 in the ACC. Notre Dame at Boston College is a non-conference game with the Fighting Irish an independent, but likely to receive a marquee slot with a big television market and one of the most recognizable brands in college football.
