Miami at Syracuse final odds and predictions

Miami is at Syracuse on Saturday in what is the biggest game for the program since 2017.

Miami plays at Syracuse on Saturday in the biggest game for the Hurricanes since they lost to Clemson in the 2017 ACC Championship Game. A win puts Miami in the ACC Championship Game and likely secures a spot in the College Football Playoff. With a loss, Miami is eliminated from the ACC Championship Game.

Miami avenged its loss at Georgia Tech three weeks ago with a 42-14 win versus Wake Forest last week. The Hurricanes pulled away with a dominant fourth quarter. Miami outscored Wake Forest 22-0 in the fourth quarter to blow open a close game. The Hurricanes played their best game defensively in the ACC in 2024.

Syracuse enters their Senior Day with a two-game winning streak. The Orange are 8-3 overall and 4-3 in the ACC. Syracuse lost to Stanford in September, Pittsburgh last month and Boston College three weeks ago. Stanford was the only home loss for Syracuse in 2024.

Miami faces a much different challenge at Syracuse than they did at Georgia Tech. Miami and Syracuse are the top two passing offenses in college football. Georgia Tech ran for 271 yards and had the ball for 34:49 beating Miami 28-23. Syracuse is the best offense Miami will play this year.

The line has moved from Miami minus 10.5 to 11.5 in the final odds for Saturday at Syracuse per FanDuel. Laying the points with Miami is m1nus 105 and taking Syracuse getting the points is minus 115 which is the same as earlier this week. The money line is minus 400 for Miami and plus 310 for Syracuse.

The over/under at 67.5 is the highest for both Miami and Syracuse in 2024. Betting the over is minus 105 and the under is minus 115. Seven Miami games and five for Syracuse have gone over this season.

Prediction

The best bet for Miami on Saturday is the money line. Miami is clearly getting more money and bets on them with the line moving up for Saturday. The 11.5 points is a high number. Miami has had too many close games in 2024 to trust 11.5 points. The over also seems sure to come on Saturday.
