Miami competing against five other heavyweights for commitment from 4-star LB

Miami has made the cut for one of the top linebackers in the 2027 class. Four-star linebacker Noah Glover has trimmed his recruitment to six finalists: Georgia, Texas A&M, Miami, Virginia Tech, Oregon and Notre Dame.

Glover, who plays at Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Va., is listed at 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds and checks in as the No. 125 overall prospect and the No. 8 linebacker nationally in the 247Sports rankings for the 2027 class. On3's industry ranking has him as the No. 211 overall player and the No. 11 linebacker, with both services slotting him as the No. 2 prospect in Virginia.

Four-star linebacker Jalaythan Mayfield

Miami is also in the running for 4-star linebacker Jalaythan Mayfield, one of the top junior prospects in North Carolina. Mayfield, a Lincolnton High School standout, announced his top group on Feb. 5 and included the Hurricanes along with Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky and Oregon.
