The Miami Hurricanes' April 4 Spring Ball Splash is expected to bring a wave of elite 2027 talent to Coral Gables, including Rivals' No. 1 quarterback, one of the top offensive tackles in the country, multiple blue-chip defensive front targets and another round of premier South Florida prospects.

Spring Ball Splash is Miami's spring recruiting event built around practice, with prospects also gathering for a pool party later in the day.

Spring Ball Splash set to bring in tons of talent

Will Mencl arrives as Rivals' top-ranked quarterback in the 2027 class and the No. 4 overall prospect nationally. Davin Davidson gives Miami another major passer to host. Rivals moved the Sarasota Cardinal Mooney standout up to No. 120 overall and No. 11 quarterback in the class.

Myson Johnson-Cook is ranked No. 59 in the Rivals300, and on the line, St. Thomas Aquinas standout Mark Matthews is one of the biggest names expected in town. Matthews is ranked No. 3 overall in the entire 2027 class and is the nation's top offensive tackle. Miami is also firmly in the mix for Joshua Sam-Epelle, a 6-foot-8 tackle from Georgia who cut his list to 10 schools, including the Hurricanes.

LSU edge commit Jaiden Bryant is ranked No. 11 in the 2027 Rivals300, and Ohio State pledge David "DJ" Jacobs remains one of the premier flip targets in the class after choosing the Buckeyes over Miami in December. California defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou is another headliner (No. 6 at the position with a No. 2 industry ranking).

Eric McFarland III is another big-name receiver expected in town. He is ranked No. 53 overall. At linebacker, Miami will get another visit from Jalaythan Mayfield, who is ranked No. 92 overall. In the secondary, Joshua Dobson may be the biggest name. The North Carolina corner is ranked No. 7 overall.
