Miami will have a big-time prospect on campus this evening. Composite 5-star wide receiver prospect Kesean Bowman is expected to make an unofficial visit to watch the Hurricanes take on Stanford tonight.
Bowman, one of the top playmakers in the 2027 recruiting class, de-committed from Oregon about a month ago and when he made the decision it was to explore other programs.

Miami is on the hunt for top receivers
Getting Bowman on campus for a game at this stage of his recruitment is huge. It's probably going to be a lighter recruiting weekend for the Hurricanes and that will give the staff more time to be attentive to Bowman and show him what Coral Gables has to offer. A good visit would lead the Brentwood, Tennessee native to come back for spring practice and possibly an official visit over the summer before ultimately making a decision.
Also, the Hurricanes will be looking for more receivers to pair up with superstar freshman Malachi Toney. The Miami staff can show Bowman how much they've used Toney as a true freshman and that he can expect similar work when he steps on campus for the 2027 season. With C.J. Daniels finishing up his senior season, the wide receiver position across from Toney will be wide open in the next couple of seasons.
What's Bowman's recruiting status?
The blue-chip receiver has been looking around since backing away from his pledge with Oregon. Obviously, Tennessee is going to try to be a major player in his recruitment as he is arguably the top player in the state. He's made multiple unofficial visits to Tennessee already this season. Bowman also went to Ohio State for the Buckeyes' showdown against Texas to start the season.
He is still getting offers and recently received one from Alabama. There's a good chance the receiver will try to make a Crimson Tide game before the season ends.
Right now, it feels like Bowman is doing his due diligence and seeing what he can see between now through the spring so he can decide which programs will get an official visit. Miami is putting itself in position to be part of that group.
