These days, it's tough to complain about much surrounding the Miami football program. Mario Cristobal has this team ready to push for another CFP berth next season, with some big recruiting wins coming in via the transfer portal.

With high school recruiting, things are strong too, but Crisotbal and his staff obviously are not going to be able to reel in every playmaker they have their eyes on. Such appears to be the case when it comes to 5-star EDGE Zyron Forstall.

Not long ago, the touted pass-rusher revealed that Miami was among the schools standing out for him. However, recruiting experts Steve Wiltfong and Sam Spiegelman have both put in their official predictions for the touted playmaker to commit to Texas A&M instead:

5-star EDGE Zyron Forstall has been predicted to pick Texas A&M over Miami and others

Should things go down this way, it's going to end up being a MAJOR recruiting win for Mike Elko and his Texas A&M staff - at the same time, it indeed is going to be a bit of a bummer for the Canes and Cristobal, as Miami has been high on the youngster for quite some time.

According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-3, 235-pounder is ranked five stars, the No. 2 EDGE in the country, No. 2 prospect out of Florida and the No. 11 talent nationally for the 2027 class. Throughout his recruitment, the touted pass-rusher has also picked up 24 total offers.

While Forstall never released a list of finalists, Miami was doing everything possible to turn his head. The trip to the CFP title game surely did the trick, but right now, all signs are pointing to Texas A&M getting some good news from the talented EDGE in the near future.

It will be a bit of a setback for the Canes, but Cristobal will quickly shift his focus to other players high on his board. With the Early Signing Period not until December too, who knows, maybe Cristobal will keep going after Forstall even if he does commit to the Aggies.
