Led by quarterback Carson Beck, Miami has four of the Top 10 transfers in the ACC for 2025, per the On3 rankings. Beck is the top-ranked 2025 transfer overall nationally. Cornerback Ethan O'Connor is the seventh-ranked incoming ACC transfer, wide receiver C.J. Daniels is eighth and CB Charles Brantley is 10th.
Florida State is the only other program with as many as two players in the top 10 ACC transfers. Seminoles WR Duce Robinson from USC is the second-ranked incoming ACC transfer and interior offensive lineman Luke Petitbon from Purdue is fifth.
Miami has the fifth-ranked 2025 transfer class and is first in the ACC On3. Texas Tech is first, followed by Mississippi, Missouri and Oregon. Oregon is the only program among the top five classes with fewer incoming transfers than Miami. Miami also has a higher average per transfer than the top three classes.
Florida State is the only program with a top 10 incoming ACC transfer on the 2025 Miami schedule. Among the other top 10 incoming transfers, it is notable that Clemson added Purdue edge rushers Will Heldt after the Tigers have traditionally not added transfers in the last few years.

The addition of Beck completely changes the projections for Miami in 2025. Daniels is the expected number-one WR for Miami in 2025. Brantley and O'Connor will compete for starting positions with fellow incoming transfer Emmanuel Karnley and returnees Damani Brown and O.J. Frederique.
Expect Miami to continue targeting high level transfers during the spring portal window from April 16-25. Miami could potentially rise in the rankings when adding more transfers this spring. A WR to pair with Daniels should be one expectation to the 2025 Miami transfer class. A veteran linebacker is another transfer possibility.
Miami is the only ACC program with a transfer class in the top 10. Virginia Tech has the 11th ranked transfer class. Among programs with a transfer in the top 10 in the ACC, with only three incoming transfers, Clemson has the 38th class nationally, Georgia Tech is 65th, California is 45th, Florida State is 24th and Duke is 28th.
