Miami is one of 12 ACC teams that will play nine games in 2026, according to an ESPN article. Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech and North Carolina will play eight league games in 2026. The 2026 season will be a transition year from eight to nine conference games per the ACC.
The ACC announced 2026 conference opponents on Tuesday. Miami will play Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech at home and Clemson, North Carolina, Stanford and Wake Forest on the road during the 2026 season.
The ACC stated in its press release that the conference will unveil the full 2026 football schedule, including all game dates, in late January. Miami hosts Florida A&M on September 12 and Central Michigan on September 26. On November 7, Notre Dame will host Miami in the Hurricanes' other 2026 non-conference game.
With three non-conference games and nine ACC contests, Miami will open the season against league foes in the first two weeks. Boston College, Clemson, Duke, North Carolina and Wake Forest are new opponents on the 2026 schedule.
Beginning in 2027, the ACC will have 16 teams play nine ACC games and one play eight, due to the math of a 17-team league.

Duke is new to the 2026 Miami ACC schedule. The Blue Devils won the ACC Championship Game after finishing in a five-way tie with a 6-2 conference record that included Miami. Duke finished 8-5 overall and will play 8-4 Arizona State in the Sun Bowl on New Year's Eve.
Miami gets Florida State, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech at home after beating all three on the road in 2025. Stanford is the only one of Miami's four road games that the Hurricanes played in 2025. Miami beat Stanford 42-7 at Hard Rock Stadium on October 28.
In addition to the nine conference games, ACC teams must play a total of 10 games versus Power Conference opponents each season. Miami has non-conference opponents scheduled through 2032. Miami plays Notre Dame in 2026, 2028, 2031, 2032, 2034 and 2037. Miami has a home-and-home with Auburn and plays Utah in 2027.
