Linton, a rising junior at Palm Beach Central, chose Miami over offers from Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri and Syracuse. He confirmed via X. Palm Beach Central coach Kevin Thompson told On3 that his offensive lineman “moves really well for somebody of that size,” adding that coaches Mario Cristobal and Alex Mirabal “loved his footwork."
At 293 pounds (listed elsewhere as 300), Linton reportedly shed weight and usually plays around 305 pounds. The commitment came shortly after Linton attended a Miami camp on June 22, where his performance impressed the coaching staff. “They loved him,” Thompson said. “He’s a former basketball player… he’s a leader, guy who wants to lead and loves the weight room."
Linton said he committed, “knowing I was gonna play at a legendary staff and great school… Miami has produced some of the best linemen, and that’s where I need to be." The versatile 6-foot-6 frame and athleticism makes Linton an early win for offensive line coach Mirabal.
Linton becomes the fourth recruit to commit to the Hurricanes in the 2027 class. The other three players are:
