After Joshua Moore went down early in last Saturday's spring practice, Mario Cristobal said Tuesday the sophomore wide receiver's injury is not considered serious, giving the Hurricanes a favorable update as they move into the summer.

Joshua Moore should be back in two weeks, Mario Cristobal says

Cristobal said Tuesday on WQAM's Joe Rose Show that Moore is dealing with a soft tissue injury and "should be fine in 2 weeks." Moore was hurt on the field before Miami got into its 11-on-11 work last Saturday.

This is about as good an outcome as anybody could have hoped for after an uncomfortable moment on the field. Soft tissue injuries can still require caution, especially this time of year, but Cristobal's wording strongly suggests the program does not view this as something that will linger deep into the summer.

Moore played in all 16 games as a true freshman in 2025 and finished with 17 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns. His best outing came against USF, when he posted three catches for 61 yards and two TDs.
