Miami is hosting several five-star prospects this weekend, depending on the recruiting service that ranks them. This projects to be the biggest weekend of official visits in Coral Gables from five-star prospects in the 2026 class for Miami.
The first full weekend of official visits for the 2026 class for Miami is headlined by unanimous five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys. Keys is rated as the fourth overall prospect and top WR in the 2026 class by 247Sports and On3. LSU has held a commitment from Keys since March.
Keys had a breakout season as a junior in 2024 for Hattiesburg, Mississippi High School, with 40 receptions for 839 yards and 12 touchdowns, per MaxPreps. At 6'2.5 and 180 pounds, Keys has ideal size at WR. Miami WR coach Kevin Beard is the primary Hurricanes' recruiter for Keys.
Defensive lineman Lamar Brown is a consensus five-star prospect. Brown is the eighth-ranked overall prospect and top DL in the 2026 class by 247Sports and On3. Texas, Texas A&M and LSU are hosting Brown for official visits in the weekend subsequent to Miami. Defensive line coach Jason Taylor is Miami's primary recruiter for Brown.
Tight end Mark Bowman is listed as one of the official visitors this weekend on his personal 247Sports profile page and On3. Bowman is a consensus five-star prospect who is 16th overall in the 247Sports composite rankings and 16th by On3.
Texas, Georgia, USC and Oregon in that order, will host Bowman for official visits after Miami, per On3. Texas has a 66.3 percent chance for a commitment from Bowman, with Georgia at 25.9 percent, per the On3 Prediction Machine. Every other program is listed below 3.0 percent.
Consensus five-star running back Derrek Cooper has one 247Sports crystal ball logged to Miami and the Hurricanes are the leader with a 28.5 percent chance for a commitment per On3. Cooper is scheduled to take official visits to Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and Ohio State in June.
Cooper had 124 carries for 905 yards and 13 touchdowns with nine receptions for 156 yards and another score during a breakout 2024 junior season, per MaxPreps. Cooper would be a huge addition for Miami as Mario Cristobal attempts to continue keeping the best South Florida RBs home.
Edge rusher Anthony Jones is the last 2026 consensus five-star prospect visiting Miami this weekend. Jones is the 15th-ranked prospect by 247Sports and 19th by On3. Both outlets rank Jones as the third-best edge rusher in the 2026 class. Alabama and Auburn are the favorites for Jones, who is from Mobile.
More five-star prospects are visiting Miami this weekend than in the next month combined. This weekend will have a major impact on how high the 2026 Miami class finishes in the rankings. June has been good to Miami under Mario Cristobal. Expect Miami to have several commitments throughout June into early July.
