Four-star wide receivers Corey Barber, Messiah Hampton and Somourian Wingo are among the 2026 prospects taking official visits to Miami during the first full weekend beginning on Friday. Yesterday, Canes Warning discussed the five-star prospects visiting Miami this weekend.

Hampton is taking official visits to Miami, Syracuse, Ohio State and Oregon ahead of a June 13 commitment announcement. There is one 247Sports crystal ball logged to Oregon for Hampton and On3 projects the Ducks with an 89.3 percent chance for a commitment from the Rochester, New York prospect.

In the last two seasons playing for James Monroe High School, Hampton has 90 receptions for 1,366 receiving yards and 21 TDs, per MaxPreps. At 6'1 and 170 pounds, Hampton will have to add mass in a strength and conditioning program in college.

Wingo is scheduled to take official visits to Miami, Florida, Alabama and South Carolina over the next three weekends. Florida is the projected leader per On3. At 6'2 and 180, Wingo has ideal size at WR. Wingo has 91 receptions for 1,571 receiving yards and 18 TDs in the last two seasons, per MaxPreps.

Wingo is the 171st prospect nationally by 247Sports and 166th by On3, the 22nd WR by 247Sports and 25th by On3 and both rank the St. Augustine prospect as the 22nd player in Florida. The recruitment for Wingo appears to be open and should clarify in the next month.

Barber is scheduled to take an official visit to Miami this weekend by On3, but not 247Sports. The On3 Industry Ranking and 247Sports Composite Rankings have Barber as a four-star prospect. Barber has been committed to Mississippi since May 9.

The relative average between the 247Sports and On3 consensus rankings has Barber as a top 275 player nationally, a top 50 WR and a top 15 in Alabama. Barber had 73 receptions for 1,424 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns and seven receptions for 59 yards as a junior in 2024, per MaxPreps.

Approximately 18 prospects and five five-star recruits are taking official visits with Miami this weekend. June and early July have been productive for Miami under Mario Cristobal. Miami has secured several commitments in June and July during the Cristobal era, now in its fourth full recruiting cycle.
