On a frigid day in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Miami Hurricanes marched into Acrisure Stadium and secured a quality and decisive, 38-7, victory over the twenty-second ranked, Pittsburgh Panthers.
Donned in white uniforms, the elements were never a significant factor in the Canes defeat of their ACC Conference foes. It was overall, a victory that proved beneficial in the Miami Hurricanes chances of impressing the pollsters and College Football Playoff committee.

Miami Hurricanes are hitting their stride
Last week, in the Canes triumph over the lowly Virginia Tech Hokies, frankly, the Hurricanes did not seal the win over the Hokies by a widespread margin. Entering into Saturday's matchup, there were two goals the Miami Hurricanes had to achieve. One, was the obvious, secure the victory over the Panther's program spoiler intentions. Secondly, the Canes had to defeat the Pittsburgh Panthers in a demoralizing manner.
Both goals were accomplished and the Hurricanes also acquired an achievement that has not been fulfilled since the 2002-2003 seasons, which was posting consecutive ten-win seasons. Currently, the Miami Hurricanes have a very compelling argument in becoming a participant in the College Football Playoff. The case and resume for the 2025 Hurricanes to enter into the playoff tournament, despite not being able to run the table in the ACC, is an extremely formidable one.
The margin of victory over both the Miami Hurricanes and Fighting Irish's common opponent, the Pittsburgh Panthers, have favored the Hurricanes, which defeated the Panthers on Saturday by the score of 38-7, a thirty-one-point victory margin, compared to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, which secured a 37-15 victory, a twenty-two-point victory margin. Mario Cristobal's program has been able to fulfill all of their aspirations regarding their destiny.
Now, it is up to the AP pollsters and College Football playoff committee to reward the Canes for accomplishing much of the tasks regarding defeating programs in "must-win" scenarios. Hopefully, the Miami Hurricanes could continue to trend in an upward direction, despite not being among the ACC Conference leaders in conference records.
Many Hurricane supporters will vigilantly watch the latest and last poll rankings of the season, next week, that will determine the ultimate fate of the 2025 Miami Hurricanes.
