The NFL's annual Scouting Combine invite list is out, and while plenty of familiar names made the cut, there are some deserving guys who did not.
The NFL released its full list of 319 prospects invited to Indianapolis, where teams will run interviews, medical checks and on-field workouts in the lead-up to the 2026 NFL Draft. The combine runs Feb. 23 through March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium, with the on-field portion set to be televised later in the week.
Notables that did not receive an NFL Combine invite:

• QB Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss ***
• WR Tyren Montgomery, John Carroll
• RB Kaelon Black, Indiana
• ED Mikail Kamara, Indiana
• WR Cyrus Allen, Cincy
• OT Riley Mahlman, Wisconsin
• RB Jaydn Ott, Oklahoma

That invite is a big deal, but it is also not the only path to the league. Every spring, players who get left off still raise their draft grades through Pro Day's and private workouts.
Miami center James Brockermeyer snubbed from 2026 NFL Combine
Miami center James Brockermeyer was not invited to the 2026 NFL Combine. Brockermeyer anchored the middle of Miami's line in 2025 and earned ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors after Miami's win over Florida State, when the Hurricanes did not allow a sack.
The next month will be about taking advantage of the opportunities he does get. Interior offensive linemen can get drafted without a combine invite. Miami's Pro Day will matter more, and so will any chance he gets to work out privately for teams.
Other snubs from the 2026 NFL Combine
Indiana running back Kaelon Black was left off despite a productive 2025. He ran for 1,040 yards and 10 touchdowns. Indiana edge rusher Mikail Kamara also did not appear on the invite list. He logged 15 tackles for loss and 10 sacks over the last season.
Cincinnati wide receiver Cyrus Allen is another. Allen finished with 51 catches for 674 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025. Wisconsin offensive tackle Riley Mahlman was not invited either, a surprise in the eyes of some draft watchers.
On defense, NC State corner Devon Marshall missed out after putting up 50 tackles, two interceptions and 16 passes defended in 2025. Texas Tech safety Cole Wisniewski, another non-invite, posted 78 tackles with six tackles for loss in 2025. Navy defensive tackle Landon Robinson also did not make the list after a disruptive 2025 that included 64 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
Among the Group of Six names, UTSA linebacker Shad Banks Jr. (57 solo tackles, two sacks and three interceptions) and Miami (Ohio) linebacker Jackson Kuwatch (109 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and five sacks) both missed the invite list. SMU safety Isaiah Nwokobia, who had two interceptions in 2025, also did not receive an invite.
