Miami Hurricane fans must be pinching themselves. A chance to compete and win a coveted national championship at home is a scenario only fit for the big screen.

It is difficult to fathom how a program, such as, the Miami Hurricanes could potentially win another title but also establish itself amongst the college football premiere programs.

The road to potential powerhouse status was almost derailed. How fitting is it for the upstart Hurricanes to once again string years of college football dominance, yet again? Establishing itself as a "blue-blood" program again has been challenging at times.

Many Miami Hurricanes insiders might concur. Never in one's wildest dreams would experts predict that the 2025 version of the Hurricanes would emerge as one of the last two teams remaining.

Steadily and patiently, have Cristobal and his staff orchestrated a college football roster with as much talent the Hurricanes possess, thus far. Before coach Cristobal's arrival, the Miami Hurricanes football program seemed to always self-destruct.

There were seasons that the program teased fans and alumni alike, by commencing a season with great potential, only to wallow in mediocrity by season's end. Frankly, Cristobal's initial seasons with the Canes did not yield to drastic results.

In 2022, Cristobal's inaugural season with the Hurricanes, he finished with a disappointing 5-7 record. The very next year, in 2023, Cristobal's Canes made a two-game improvement in the win-column to finish, 7-6.

The 2024 season proved to be the most significant improvement in Cristobal's quest to finally bring the Miami Hurricanes football program from average to extremely competitive.

It was during that year, a ten-win total, as well as playing an overall, competitive brand of football, commenced to warrant deserving attention few of Cristobal's recent predecessors have been unable to accomplish.

Now, on the cusp of a "dream season," coach Cristobal has assisted in giving the Miami Hurricanes and its fanbase, a reason for optimism. Primed for potential glory, how spectacular would a Canes' victory Monday night, yield and answer the question, "Are the Miami Hurricanes finally back?"
