4-star CB Danny Lang includes Miami in final 10 schools
In the Rivals300, Lang is a top-100 overall recruit. He is listed at No. 93 nationally, the No. 12 cornerback and the No. 10 player in California. 247Sports has Lang as a 91 rating and the No. 57 player nationally (No. 9 CB) in its own rankings. The 247Sports Composite lists him No. 100 overall (No. 12 CB). ESPN lists him as the 275th player in the ESPN Jr. 300.
As a sophomore, he totaled 33 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
In his junior season, he put up 31 total tackles (26 solo), 10 passes defended, and 1 fumble recovery. He also logged 32 total return yards (17 kick return yards and 15 punt return yards).
Lang has three official visits locked in for early summer: Auburn on June 5, USC on June 12, and Oregon on June 19. In the spring, Lang has unofficial visits planned to Auburn on April 10 and Michigan on April 17. Lang has taken visits to USC on Nov. 15, 2025 and Nov. 29, 2025, plus a visit to Oregon on Nov. 22, 2025.
Miami's 2026 cornerback haul was deep. The Hurricanes signed four CBs: Camdin Portis (Myers Park, Charlotte, N.C.), Jaelen Waters (Armwood, Seffner, Fla.), Brody Jennings (Mandarin, Jacksonville, Fla.) and Jontavius Wyman (Jonesboro, Ga.).
The 2027 class, meanwhile, is still waiting on its first cornerback commitment. The class currently is S Jaylyn Jones, WR Ah’Mari Stevens, ATH Demarcus Deroche and OT Zaquan Linton.
Miami is currently in the running for plenty of prospects in the 2027 and 2028 class. Plenty of time is still left to gain ground and solidify recruits. At this stage, it's all about getting recruits in the building and showing them the culture of the program.
