Miami is firmly in the mix for one of the most dynamic underclassmen as four-star wide receiver Lawrence Britt has trimmed his recruitment to 10 schools and identified a top six, with the Hurricanes squarely in that lead group.
Britt, a 2027 prospect from Memphis, is listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds and is considered one of the top receivers in the country. The On3 Industry Ranking rates him as a top-120 overall prospect nationally, a top-20 wideout and a top-five player in Tennessee.

4-star WR Lawrence Britt
Through the 2025 season at Lausanne, he has 44 catches for 696 yards and 12 receiving touchdowns, averaging 58.0 receiving yards per game, while accounting for 16 total scores to rank among Tennessee's leaders in that category. As a sophomore in 2024, Britt was used all over the formation and piled up 392 receiving yards, 485 rushing yards and 14 total touchdowns, plus two interceptions on defense.
Earlier this month, Britt trimmed his schools to 10: Missouri, Miami, Vanderbilt, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida State and Oregon. From that list, six programs have separated themselves: Missouri, Vanderbilt, Florida, Florida State, Miami and Ole Miss.
Miami and Ole Miss round out the six leaders, and both appear to fit Britt's desire to play in wide-open offenses. Britt reportedly he likes how the Hurricanes get the ball to their receivers in space. He took an unofficial visit to Coral Gables on Sept. 20 as part of a fall that also included trips to Missouri, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and Florida State. Miami will certainly want to get Britt to come back to campus at least a few more times in the offseason.
As long as Miami continues to put out good offensive tape, the Hurricanes will remain in contention for talented prospects such as Britt.
