Miami just landed two early commitments from Carrollton teammates CJ Cypher and Kweli Fielder.

The pair are cousins and they have played together for years at one of Georgia's strongest high school programs. Now Miami has an elite 2029 quarterback prospect and a national top-50 2028 offensive lineman committed.

Cypher announced his commitment alongside Fielder on Wednesday. Fielder is the No. 5 offensive tackle and No. 43 overall prospect in the 2028 Rivals Industry Ranking, while Cypher is one of the most watched quarterbacks in the 2029 class.

The pair helped Carrollton reach the GHSA Class 6A championship game last season. The Trojans entered that game after producing elite numbers behind an offense led by Cypher, running back Cam Wood and a deep receiving group.

Cypher is a 6-foot-1 quarterback who threw for 2,178 yards with 26 touchdowns and three interceptions as a freshman while helping Carrollton reach Georgia's biggest stage. He already has more than 30 Division I offers from programs that include Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Cypher chose Miami over offers from Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State and others. He is now Miami's first known 2029 commitment. He visited Miami multiple times this year, including an April visit and two June trips.

Fielder is one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the country. He measures in at 6-foot-4 and 325 pounds.

Fielder picked Miami over Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas and others after making two June visits to Coral Gables.

The commitments are early and both players will have plenty of programs trying to change their minds before they arrive in Coral Gables. But Cypher and Fielder want to continue their football journey together, and as of now, they want to do it as Hurricanes.
