Miami's path to its biggest win in decades is pretty clear in theory. The Hurricanes have to force Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin to throw at least two INTs.

The Canes beat No. 7 seed Texas A&M 10-3 at Kyle Field, forced two interceptions from Marcel Reed, and leaned on Mark Fletcher Jr. to grind it out.

Julian Sayin hasn't been untouchable this season

Sayin has been one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the country this season, throwing for 3,323 yards with 31 touchdowns and six interceptions. He has completed 78.4% of his passes, which certainly shows the Canes have their work cut out for them. But, he hasn't been perfect.

Against Texas in the opener, Ohio State won 14-7 and Sayin finished 13 of 20 for 126 yards and a touchdown. In the Big Ten title game loss to Indiana, Ohio State scored 10 points, and Sayin threw one interception in the defeat. Sayin also threw early interceptions against Illinois and Michigan.

None of those performances were disastrous, but they are reminders that Ohio State can be made uncomfortable. And Miami has shown the ability to get to the ball when needed. The Hurricanes are sitting at plus-11 with 23 takeaways and 12 giveaways in 13 games.

Doing it to Sayin is obviously tougher, but the blueprint is still the same. Miami's defense has been the identity of this team. The Canes were allowing 13.8 points per game and giving up 277.8 yards per game entering the postseason.

The other half of the equation is Carson Beck

Carson Beck has put up big season numbers, but the concern with his turnovers is legit. Miami can't win this game if Beck turns it into a short field festival for Ohio State. Beck has thrown 10 interceptions this season, with a decent chunk coming in the two losses against Louisville and SMU.

In the windy first-round win at Texas A&M, Beck played more of the game manager role going 14-of-20 passing for 103 yards and the game's only touchdown pass. That was a promising sight for Canes fans as it showed that he can rise to the occasion and take care of the football. Although, against Ohio State, Miami will surely need more points than 10.
