Rivals has Burrell ranked as the No. 6 wide receiver and the No. 41 prospect overall in the 2027 class. 247Sports Composite has him No. 50 nationally and No. 9 at WR, while ESPN's Junior 300 lists him No. 43.
Burrell has locked in an unofficial visit to Missouri on March 13, and he's set to be back at Notre Dame on April 1. LSU is also on the itinerary with a visit scheduled for April 9. Burrell will add more stops as he works through the rest of his finalists. Burrell has already been on campus in Coral Gables, visiting for Miami's win over Florida early in the 2025 season.
Burrell turned 67 catches into 1,139 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior, and he's up to 142 receptions for 2,396 yards and 34 scores for his high school career. He broke the program's career receiving TD record early in the 2025 season.
Notre Dame has been a constant team to watch in Burrell’s recruitment. On3 has the Irish as the heavy favorite in its prediction model right now, with Michigan and Missouri also sitting in the next tier.
If the Hurricanes want to stay in this fight into the summer, they are going to need to show him what makes the program so special. It is key that Mario Cristobal and the staff gets him on campus before the season starts, just in case he makes a decision before then. But, if he doesn't, this adds another reason why beating Notre Dame (again) is so important.
