The nation's top 2028 prospect is set to return to Hard Rock Stadium as Miami holds the lead on the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Miami leads for Brysen Wright on Rivals prediction

Five-star wide receiver Brysen Wright of Jacksonville Mandarin is expected in Miami for the Hurricanes' Oct. 17 game against Florida State, and a Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine forecast has the Hurricanes as the current favorite to land the No. 1 overall player in the class.

Wright ranks as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2028 class on the Rivals Industry ranking and the 247Sports Composite.

Florida, Texas and Ohio State remain the primary competitors to Miami. His high school teammate Knox Annis is already committed to the Hurricanes in the 2028 class.

Miami's 2027 class ranks No. 1 nationally in average recruit rating on the Rivals Industry rankings (pound-for-pound the highest-rated class) and No. 1 in the ACC.

Brysen Wright set for return visit to Miami for Florida State matchup

Wright is scheduled to attend Miami's home game against Florida State at Hard Rock Stadium. It will be his fourth trip to Coral Gables, more than he has logged with any other program. The visit follows earlier stops that included an unofficial visit in June, a game-day trip to Texas in September, and a visit to Florida for the Gators' game against Ole Miss on Sept. 26.

The Hurricanes enter the weekend 5-0 and ranked No. 3 in the AP Top 25 while Florida State is 3-3 and 1-2 in the ACC after a 44-20 loss at Louisville.

Brysen Wright's high school production

  • Freshman (2024-25): 31 receptions for 646 yards and eight touchdowns.
  • Sophomore (2025-26): 46 receptions for 983 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also recorded five interceptions, three defensive touchdowns and two punt-return scores.
  • Junior (2026-27, so far): 29 receptions for 652 yards and seven touchdowns. He has also rushed twice for 92 yards and one touchdown, including an 80-yard score.
