Miami is about to anger Dabo Swinney even more by potentially flipping another 4-star

At this point it almost seems personal

As the kids would say, Mario Cristobal is stuffing Dabo Swinney in a locker right now.

Miami is starting its final surge for the 2026 recruiting cycle and the goal appears to be to make a significant dent in Clemson's recruiting class. The Hurricanes have already struck once when blue-chip defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil flipped from the Tigers. And now it looks like Cristobal and company have set their sights on 4-star safety Blake Stewart, who recently decommitted from Clemson.

Rivals/On3 recruiting scout Steve Wiltfong has already predicted Stewart to join Miami's class.

What's the latest on Stewart?

Miami appears to be in the driver's seat for the blue-chip defensive back from Atlanta, but there are other potential suitors that are looking to jump in on this recruitment now that it's opened up again. Wiltfong explained to Josh Newberg that there are some heavy hitters that are trying to get involved.

"A couple of sources tell me coming out of his decomittment from the Tigers this week, that Miami has the edge. So I moved my prediction from Clemson to Miami," Wiltfong said this week. "Now [the Hurricanes] have got to hold off some programs. He was at Vanderbilt this past weekend. He's been to Georgia Tech this fall. Georgia is looking to get him in for the Texas game. But I think it's Miami setting the tone right now for Blake Stewart.

Where is the Hurricanes' class ranked?

Miami has the 11th-ranked recruiting class on 247Sports. The class is defined by great work at recruiting linemen on both sides of the ball. 5-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell is one of the best in the country and has the skill set to be a future All-American. Adding a player like Stancil to the class gives the Hurricanes a young defensive lineman that could possibly jump on the field early and give Miami some good snaps.

Adding Stewart to this class would certainly vault the Hurricanes into the top 10 of the rankings and if the staff can get another major flip, like in-state running back Derrek Cooper, there's a possibility Miami could challenge for a top five class.
