Miami and Adidas just dropped a military-themed alternate that leans hard into service symbolism and uniform enthusiasts have been all over it. The Hurricanes will wear a camouflage "Honor & Support" jersey Oct. 25 vs. Stanford at Hard Rock Stadium — Miami's designated Military Appreciation Game. Miami has a Military Appreciation Game every season but doesn't always bust out new uniforms for the occasion.

The design is part of Adidas's new Honor & Support collection. Miami's top is built on a marine camouflage (MARPAT) pattern, with stenciled numerals and an American flag in the advancing position on the right sleeve. The collar carries the school's primary "U" mark, and the nameplate reads "HURRICANES" — a one-team motif that replaces individual last names for this game.

A few details have caught uniform watchers' eyes. Unlike most Miami alternates, this jersey appears to omit orange accents entirely, which raises a practical question: Will Miami pair it with its standard white helmet and usual pants, or roll out a matching lid and bottoms? As of the unveiling, helmet/pant choices were not specified. Miami did something similar back in 2015 with their all-black Military Appreciation set, worn in a 27–21 win over Virginia.

Miami isn't the only Adidas school in this themed drop. Washington also unveiled its own Honor & Support look for mid-November, but Miami's version goes full camo-green. Nebraska, Kansas, NC State, and Louisville are other schools that have also done apparel drops but no in-game uniforms for those programs yet.

This will be the first ever matchup between Miami and Stanford in football. Stanford recently joined the ACC back before the 2024 season. The game comes in Week 9 of the college football season and could present an important late-season test for the Hurricanes in their quest for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
