After missing the game last week versus Stanford, Miami defensive lineman Akheem Mesidor is not on the Initial Student-Athlete Availability Reporting Update for the game Saturday at SMU. The Mustangs have 26 players listed between out and probable for Saturday.
None of the Miami players on the Initial report have made an impact in 2025. Mesidor missed the Stanford game with a foot injury that occurred a week prior versus Louisville. Foot injuries have plagued Mesidor throughout his career.
SMU has 13 players listed as out,, four questionable and nine probable. Former Miami running back Chris Johnson Jr. is questionable and wide receiver Romello Brison, another ex-Hurricane is probable.
Johnson is second on SMU with 42 carries, 314 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground and has added 13 receptions for 163 yards and another score. Johnson is listed as the co-starting RB with leading rusher TJ Harden. Brinson leads SMU with 37 receptions for 515 yards and three touchdowns.

Quarterback Kevin Jennings, defensive tackles Jeffrey M'Ba and Jeffrey Webb, WR Jordan Hudson and tight end R.J. Maryland (son of Miami legend Russell Maryland) are other SMU starters listed as probable.
Cornerback Jaelyn Davis-Robinson is the only player on the SMU two-deep depth chart listed as out. Davis-Roberton has 19 tackles, two interceptions and three passes defended in 2025. Defensive end Cameron Robertson and TE Matthew Hibner are starters listed as questionable for SMU.
Robertson has 38 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, two passes defended, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Hibner has 15 receptions for 133 yards and two TDs. Backup DT Kevin Allen is probable for SMU.
The Friday availability report will be posted at 9:00 p.m. and the final update will be posted two hours before the scheduled noon kickoff .
