Kee, who hails from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and played high school basketball at Sagemont Prep, was a three-star prospect in the 2024 class. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, he was rated as the No. 290 overall prospect, the No. 15 combo guard nationally, and the No. 26 player in Florida.
During his time at Georgia, Kee appeared in two exhibition games but did not record any statistics before taking a redshirt for the 2024–25 season. Kee reunites with former Georgia assistant coach Erik Pastrana who joined the Miami staff recently in the offseason.
Coach Lucas has revamped the Hurricanes' roster following a challenging 7–24 season. Kee is joining transfers Malik Reneau (Indiana), Ernest Udeh Jr. (TCU), Tre Donaldson (Michigan), Tru Washington (New Mexico), Marcus Allen (Missouri), and international recruit Timotej Malovec. The Hurricanes have also secured commitments from high school prospects Dante Allen and Shelton Henderson.
Kee's return to South Florida has been met with enthusiasm from the community. Former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, whose son Cameron is a top high school basketball prospect in the area, welcomed Kee back, commenting on social media, "Welcome home nephew." Cameron Boozer's twin brother, Cayden Boozer is also a top prospect. The Boozer twins are currently committed to play basketball at Duke.
Since the hiring of Lucas there has been plenty of speculation that the Boozer twins could flip from Duke to play for Miami. The twins played their high school ball at Christopher Columbus high school in Miami-Dade County, Florida and were coached by new Miami assistant coach Andrew Moran. With those connections, some think Miami still has a chance but the Boozer's remain adamant they will stay committed to Duke.
