Four-star linebacker Jordan Campbell, a cornerstone of the Miami Hurricanes highly-ranked 2026 recruiting class, has confirmed a series of official visits to other major programs this June. This development has some Canes fans worried about his longstanding commitment to the Miami.

Campbell, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound standout from Miami Carol City Senior High School, has been pledged to the Hurricanes since November 2023. However, he plans to keep his options open as he will go to Auburn, Nebraska, and Missouri on official visits. Miami was also included in the list of schools he will have official visits to in the summer.

His June itinerary is as follows: Miami (June 6–8), Auburn (June 10–12), Nebraska (June 13–15), and Missouri (June 20–22). Campbell has maintained his commitment to Miami while also stating his desire to thoroughly evaluate all options before signing in December. He has been a frequent visitor to Coral Gables, attending multiple events and building strong relationships with the coaching staff.

Nebraska seems to have made a significant impression during his January visit, with Campbell noting the program's support for players, including academics and strength and conditioning.

Missouri's connection to Campbell is probably the most concerning for the Hurricanes fanbase as linebackers coach Derek Nicholson previously recruited him while at Miami. Campbell has expressed that his relationship with Nicholson remains strong, stating, "Coach D-Nic will always be a connection for me." Nicholson acted as the co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach while at Miami. In the offseason Miami hired their new DC, Corey Hetherman.

Auburn also remains in contention, with Campbell having visited Auburn previously. Ranked as the No. 135 overall prospect and No. 8 linebacker in the 2026 class by the On3 Industry Ranking, Campbell is a key player for Miami's top-10 recruiting class. In his junior season at Carol City, he recorded 70 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, six sacks, and two forced fumbles.
