Mimi currently has nine commits in their 2026 class that is ranked 11th nationally by On3. Five 2026 Miami commits are on offense and four are on defense. None of the 2026 Miami commitments are on the defensive line. The Hurricanes will likely have to replace both starting edge rushers after the 2025 season.

Akheem Mesidor is entering his final season of eligibility and Rueben Bain, who is projected as a 2026 first-round pick in the NFL Draft, is likely to forgo his final season of eligibility. Miami has a deep and talented group of edge rushers behind Bain and Mesidor waiting their turns to produce.
