While Mario Cristobal and Miami are going to have to shift their focus to Ohio State soon, no one can fault the Hurricanes from enjoying the win over Texas A&M for a little bit. Plenty of people thought Miami's season would end in College Station, but that wasn't the case.
Instead, Malachi Toney and Mark Fletcher Jr. were the heroes late to help the Canes come out on top in thrilling fashion. Plenty of Miami fans were catching the action live, including program legend Andre Johnson. While speaking with Pat McAfee on the field, Johnson didn't hold back with his thoughts about the big-time win:

Andre Johnson is proud to say 'The U is back' for Miami fans
'Hell yeah, The U is back."
Johnson passionately answered McAfee's question and he did so in style. While some fans might not love that motto, there's no question that this was a statement win for the Hurricanes. Yes, while it was a bit of a sloppy showcase on offense, Miami got the job done.
Give credit to defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman, as his unit was fantastic. As for Carson Beck and the offense, there are plenty of things that will need to be cleaned up, including improving in the red zone. The missed field goals for the Canes were unacceptable, but Beck and Co. need to do a better job of closing drives out.
Despite those mistakes, Miami proved countless people wrong in this one. Texas A&M was considered a threat to win it all and having the home-field advantage was supposed to be giant for them against Miami. In the end, that didn't make a difference in this one.
Johnson saw the Hurricanes overcome adversity, with Toney and his moment of redemption being incredible to see. Miami posting this road win has earned the program a ton of respect. And if you ask Johnson, it has Miami back to where it needs to be.
