Georgia beating Tennessee on Saturday gave each team two losses. Tennessee lost to 5-5 Arkansas earlier this season. Miami's loss at 6-4 Georgia Tech last week is comparable to Tennessee and now the Volunteers have one more loss. That projects Miami into the College Football Playoff after week 12 results.

Tennessee is ninth in the ESPN Football Power Index and Miami is ninth. Miami is ninth and Tennessee is 10th in strength of record. Tennessee finishes the season against Texas-El Paso and Vanderbilt. The game versus UTEP will affect the metrics negatively for Tennessee.

Oregon remains first in the CFP Predictions after they escaped with a 16-13 win at Wisconsin. Texas won 20-10 at Arkansas. The other game to shake up the CFP predictions was Kansas winning 17-13 at BYU. Kansas entered the game 3-6 and ended BYU's undefeated season. BYU is barely holding on to a CFP berth.

Colorado and BYU are tied with one loss in the Big XII standings. BYU gets the Big XII spot for now over Colorado. BYU drops to the 12th seed as the fifth-highest-ranked conference champion. SMU gets the third seed as the leader in the ACC and Boise State moved up to fourth passing BYU among conference leaders.

Ohio State and Penn State remain as the fifth and sixth seeds after their wins on Saturday. Indiana, Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia and Miami benefited from Tennessee losing and moved up in the predicted CFP rankings. Boise State had to rally from 14-0 down to remain in the 12 spot as the top-ranked Group of Five team.

There are several big games in week 13. Indiana at Ohio State, Army versus Notre Dame at Yankee Stadium and SMU at Virginia (in terms of the ACC race) are all games that could impact Miami in the week 13 CFP rankings. The week 13 CFP rankings will be released at 7 PM ET on ESPN on Tuesday night.
