Miami will get the first official visit from five-star offensive lineman Lamar Brown. Brown is scheduled to visit Miami from May 30 through June 1 per Hayes Fawcett of On3. Brown is the No. 11 prospect nationally, the top IOL and the highest-ranked prospect in Louisiana out of Baton Rouge University Lab School.
Other visits Brown has scheduled according to Fawcett are Florida State June 6-8, Texas A&M June 13-15 and LSU June 20-22. LSU is the prohibitive favorite to gain a commitment from Brown with a 96.8 percent chance per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Brown is one of two players scheduled to visit the weekend of May 30. Four-star Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna running back Derrek Cooper will also be in Coral Gables the weekend of May 30. Miami currently has the 13th-ranked 2026 class nationally and is first in the ACC.
Brown was named a MaxPreps junior All-American in 2024 and did not allow a sack while playing both sides of the ball. At 6'4 and 275, Brown already has a college-ready body. Gabe Brooks, a

5-star IOL Lamar Brown will take an official visit to Miami
The Hurricanes are still looking for their first offensive lineman in the 2026 class. Miami has commitments from four-star prospects, linebacker Jordan Campbell, quarterback Dereon Coleman and cornerback Camdin Portis. The first three classes under Mario Cristobal have been in the Top 15.
Miami projects to have one of the best offensive lines in the country in 2025, but will have to start rebuilding in 2026. The entire Miami offensive line is eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft. Right tackle Francis Mauigoa is a projected 2026 first-round pick and is almost certain to leave for the NFL.
Miami will also lose incoming center James Brockermeyer, who has only one season of eligibility remaining. Guards Anez Cooper and Matthew McCoy and projected starting left tackle Markell Bell will all have decisions to make after the 2025 season on whether to enter the NFL Draft or return to Miami in 2026.
