Is commit No. 4 on the way for Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes football team? That could end up being the case, as things are looking pretty dang good for the ACC powerhouse when it comes to one of their top in-state targets.

Running back Javian Mallory has been quite high on the Canes for quite some time and he's on campus on Monday for the start of spring practices. Not only that, but On3's Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons have both put in predictions for the speedster to give Cristobal his verbal. Could that announcement be coming soon?

Miami is in a good spot to potentially land 4-star RB Javian Mallory

Per Mallory's On3 page, Miami has now been given a 95 percent chance to earn his commitment. On top of that, a new 'crystal ball' pick on 247Sports was recorded for Miami to add Mallory to its 2026 haul, which would of course be great news for the Canes.

The 5-11, 200-pounder has picked up a mind-blowing 50 offers this cycle, including tenders from Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida and many others. He has his Miami official visit scheduled for June 20, which will be a big one for him.

Plenty of other programs are working to get him on campus too, but will Miami be able to secure his services before other trips are scheduled? According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Mallory is ranked four stars, the No. 22 RB in the country and No. 42 prospect from Florida.

Thus far, Cristobal has landed pledges from quarterback Dereon Coleman, cornerback Camdin Portis and linebacker Jordan Campbell. With spring ball here for Miami, the expectation is that plenty of new commits will be on the way. Will the list include Mallory? That's what fans are hoping for. His recruitment will be one to follow closely moving forward, as the Canes are in a great spot with him.
