Miami received a commitment from four-star running back Javion Mallory on Saturday per multiple reports. Mallory committed to Miami over Alabama, Clemson and Florida per Hayes Fawcett of On3. According to On3, Mallory has taken eight visits to Miami, with his official visit scheduled for the weekend of June 20.

Mallory had over 40 offers per On3 and told them he chose Miami because, "I believe I will be able to come in and compete day one for a very impactful role on the team.” Miami returns junior Mark Fletcher Jr. and sophomore Jordan Lyle and redshirt freshman Chris Wheatley-Humphrey at RB in 2025.

Four-star RB Girard Pringle Jr. joins Fletcher Jr., Lyle and Wheatley-Humphrey for Miami in 2025. Fletcher Jr. has the option of leaving Miami after the 2025 season to enter the NFL Draft. Lyle, Mallory, Pringle and Wheatley-Humphrey would still provide Miami with an excellent RB room in 2026.

Mallory has rushed for 3,221 yards, averaging 8.5 yards per carry with 38 touchdowns and 14 100-yard games while recording 41 receptions for 761 yards and another 10 scores as a receiver in four seasons playing for West Boca Raton.
