There's no question that the Miami Hurricanes were able to make plenty of noise in the transfer portal, totally remaking the secondary. Now, though, head man Mario Cristobal is ready to shift his focus to the 2026 class, with some elite talents holding high interest in the program.

The list includes 5-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, who's ranked the No. 1 prospect in the country. Cantwell has an unreal future ahead of him and he's starting to trim down his list. On Sunday, the massive prospect announced he's down to six schools, with Miami among his final group. Will the Canes be able to win this recruiting battle?

It's not going to be easy for Cristobal to land the 6-7, 300-pounder, however, as Georgia, Oregon, Missouri, Ohio State and Michigan are also in the hunt to land his services. Throughout his recruitment, Cantwell has been offered by 30 schools, which should come as no surprise.

He's ranked the No. 1 player in the country by several recruit outlets, including On3 and the 247Sports Composite rankings. While there's no official deadline for when Cantwell is going to shut things down, his commitment is something people across the country are going to be keeping a close eye on.

He's yet to take any official visits, but you've got to assume that's going to change once spring camp arrives for teams. Cristobal and his staff are going to be working overtime in getting top prospects in town for officials in the coming months, with Cantwell being a priority.

He's going to be a stud tackle at the next level, with plenty of Miami supporters hoping his future will end up being in the ACC with the Canes. He's a special talent, no doubt about that.
