FanDuel lists SMU at plus 140 and Clemson at plus 370. The FPI gives SMU a 36.6 percent chance to win the ACC and Clemson a 13.4 percent chance.
Miami has the 10th-best FanDuel odds to win the National Championship at plus 4000. Clemson and SMU are tied for 12th at plus 5000. The ACC is likely a longshot to earn two College Football Playoff berths. Miami has a 62.7 percent chance to make the CFP, 8.7 percent to make the National Championship game and 3.7 to win the title.
SMU has a 41.6 percent chance of making the CFP, 3.9 percent chance to make the National Championship Game and 1.4 percent to win the title. Miami and SMU control their own path to the ACC Championship Game. If Miami and SMU win their last two games they will play in Charlotte on December 7.
Clemson needs Miami or SMU to lose once to have a chance at playing for the ACC Championship. Clemson finished 7-1 in the ACC after a late 24-20 win at Pittsburgh on Saturday. A Miami loss will guarantee Clemson a berth in the ACC Title game. If Miami wins out and SMU loses once it will create a three-way tie for first in the ACC.
Miami finishes the season versus Wake Forest and at Syracuse. Clemson hosts The Citadel and South Carolina in non-conference games. SMU plays at Virginia and hosts California in its final two games. Virginia played spoiler with a huge win at Pittsburgh on November 9.
