Andrea Adelson of ESPN highlighted why Miami quarterback Carson Beck is having a redemptive 2025 season with Miami after inconsistencies and a season-ending injury with Georgia in 2024. The Miami offensive line has set a foundation for Beck, allowing him far more time to throw in 2025.

In an over 3,100-word article published on Wednesday, Adelson stated, "At Miami, Carson Beck isn't 'trying to be Superman' anymore." Georgia receivers frequently struggled with drops during the 2024 season and the Miami OL is allowing less pressure and providing Beck more time to throw than he had a Georgia in 2024 per Adelson.,

Beck has completed 73.2 percent of his pass attempts for 972 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions in 2025. In his final season with Georgia in 2024, Beck completed 64.7 percent of his pass attempts for 3,485 yards, 28 TDs and nine interceptions.

Beck has increased his yards per attempt from 7.8 to 8.7 and his passer rating to 161.4 in 2025 from 145.3 in 2024. The 73.2 completion percentage is a career high for Beck when he has had more than 35 attempts during a single season.

"So far, he is facing less pressure -- a 16.2 percent pressure rate compared to 20.6 percent last year. He also has more time in the pocket -- 3.2 seconds average time to the first pressure compared to 2.9 at Georgia last year. Those numbers directly correlate to his increased accuracy. "When I'm given time, and I'm able to dissect defenses, I believe that I'm very efficient, and I rarely miss," Beck said."

Part of the decreased accuracy and efficiency for Beck in 2024 was a Georgia rushing offense that was 102nd nationally, averaging 124.43 yards per game. The pressure rate on Beck went from 19.1 percent in 2023 to 20.6 percent in 2024.

Per Max Chadwick of Pro Football Focus, Miami is ninth nationally with an 81.0 pass blocking grade and overall as an OL at 79.4. Chadwick also stated Beck is 26th nationally with a 76.5 completion percentage from a clean pocket. Miami has asserted its will on the line of scrimmage in every 2025 game.

Beck told Adelson he was "trying to be Superman, trying to save the day," and that he has been really introverted his whole life. Playing behind an elite Miami OL, Beck seems more relaxed. With Miami rushing for 180.50 yards per game, Beck does not have to be Superman or save the day for the Hurricanes.
