Miami might have the best offensive line in the country after three weeks. Miami hosts Florida on Saturday with a defensive line that has struggled during a 1-2 start. Florida began the season with a win over Football Championship Subdivision Long Island.

Overall, Florida has played well defensively in an 18-16 loss to South Florida and 20-10 defeat at LSU in the last two weeks. Florida was projected with the fourth-best DL entering the 2025 season by Pro Football Focus.

Through three weeks, Florida has the 102nd PFF pass rush grade, is 131st in pressure percentage, 103rd in pass rush win percentage, 124th in sacks and 100th with three tackles for loss. Florida has pressured opposing quarterbacks on 19 percent of dropbacks, which is the lowest rate among power conference teams.

Miami is sixth nationally, allowing seven TFLs; 47th, allowing four sacks and 42nd, averaging 5.28 yards per carry. Miami QB Carson Beck has the sixth-best passing grade since 2023 when throwing from a clean pocket. The only QBs ahead of Beck are four first-round picks, including Cam Ward, plus Shedeur Sanders.

Beck is first nationally, completing 79.3 percent of his pass attempts and has an 83 percent adjusted completion rate. Per PFF, Beck has been under pressure 11 times in three games, which is the lowest of any team nationally. Florida has the lowest pressure rate of any power four team and sixth-worst overall nationally.

Florida has been better defensively against the run, allowing 87.00 rushing yards per game and 38th with opponents averaging 3.03 yards per carry. Those numbers are slightly deceiving. Long Island ran 32 times for 37 yards, South Florida 29 times for 128 yards and LSU 25 times for 96 yards.

Miami is by far the best offense Florida will play through four weeks of the 2025 season. Miami averages more points, total yards and passing and rushing yards than LSU or South Florida. The Miami OL should have another dominant performance versus Florida on Saturday night.
