Hugus earned 2025 Second Team All-ACC and was named to the NCAA Hattiesburg Regional All-Tournament Team. In a 14-1 win over Columbia in the second game in Hattiesburg, Hugus pitched a complete game, allowing one run on eight hits and one walk with eight strikeouts.

Hugus will slot in at $851,800 with Seattle. Players have until July 25 to sign contracts. Expect Hugus to begin his professional career with the Class A Modesto Nuts in the California League or the High A Everett Aqua Sox in the Northwest League.
