New Miami head coach Jai Lucas is trying to assemble a recruiting class extremely late in the cycle after being officially hired by the Hurricanes on March 10. Indiana commit, 6'6 Bosnian small forward Harun Zrno is receiving interest from Miami and Maryland in addition to two other Big 10 programs per Joe Tipton of On3.
According to his On3 profile page, Creighton, Virginia and Wisconsin are the only other programs to extend offers to Zrno. Virginia is listed as the leader to land Zrno at 30.8 percent, followed by Wisconsin at 26.9 percent, Indiana at 23.1 percent and Creighton at 19.2 percent.
Dushaun London of 247Sports reported that Ohio State and Penn State are the other Big 10 programs interested in Zrno. Indiana hired Darrian DeVries as their head coach on Tuesday and Virginia is still looking for a head coach after Ron Sanchez served as the interim for the Cavaliers this season.
Richie O'Leary off Happy Valley Insider, the Rivals Penn State site reported on Wednesday that Zrno is planning on taking other visits. According to O'Leary, Zrno is "with BC Slavija and is averaging 18.3 points per game. Zrno's shooting 52.3 percent from the floor and 46.3 percent from the three-point range" in the Estonian-Latvian Basketball League.

Georgia Tech, Gonzaga, Illinois and Kansas State are other schools Zrno considered and took visits to with unspecified dates per his 247Sports profile. It should be noted that Zrno is still committed to Indiana but has not signed with the Hoosiers. The spring basketball signing period is April 16 through May 21.
When Zrno committed to Indiana in January, London referred to the Bosnian as a major commitment. Miami frequently had foreign players on its roster under Jim Larranaga. Sophomore Paul Djobet is French and forward Yussif Basa-Ama who completed his eligibility is from Ghana.
Lucas was the primary recruiter for Duke signing 7'2 freshman center Khaman Maluach from NBA Academy Africa and South Sudan. Duke also has junior guard Tyrese Proctor on its roster from NBA Global Academy and Sydney Australia. Proctor's signing with Duke preceded Lucas being hired in Durham.
